Aluminum Military Grade Cases

Aluminum Military-Grade Cases are designed to stand up to the most demanding conditions in every possible situation. Armed forces, government agencies, and prime contractors rely on Cases By Source to provide rugged, durable aluminum cases and containers for every military application.

Our selection of Aluminum Military Grade Cases — which includes our stock MIL-Aluminum product line, custom built-to-spec Zarges cases, and Mitraset rack cases — are engineered for superior temperature, weather, water, and impact resistance in the most abusive environments.

MIL-Aluminum cases are not just for transporting and protecting firearms. Lightweight and rugged, they make great carrying cases and storage cases for your computer and sensitive electronic instruments and gear. Our stock MIL-Aluminum cases are fabricated from hard 5052 aircraft grade aluminum alloy for superior resistance to damage caused by impact. All seams are welded for maximum protection and strength.

Our K-475 cases are moisture-proof, vapor-proof, and IP 67 rated. These aluminum military case are welded from ruggedized and corrosion-proof aluminum according to TL 8115-0047. The K475 series aluminum cases are pressure tested, and fully airtight. The lids are detachable. Each container is fitted with a humidity indicator, and an automatic pressure relief valve with manual override. There are many other accessories available for these aluminum containers such as RFI gasket, shock indicators, document compartments, and a variety of color choices.

Zarges Mitraset rack cases are made in accordance with MIL-T 28800, MIL-STD 810F, EIA and IEEE Standards, and are designed to ruggedly protect electronic devices in a 19” rack. These rackmount cases are custom built to spec for protection from general impact, shock and vibration. They will also protect your equipment from dust, water, heat, and humidity. The entire frame is removable, which is unique to this Mitraset series; these rackmounts are stackable, and can be provisioned with a number of options. Case Study:Lean Manufacturing: Tool Control Service Case

The Challenge

A Silicon Valley customer who often works in “clean rooms” was looking for a tool control solution that would allow them to organize and inventory service instruments in an efficient manner without compromising the sterile environment.

The Response

The client wanted a case that segmented tools into service categories so that they could survey the instruments quickly and eliminate/remove unnecessary items for each job. Our ATA SpectraCase provided the right fit for their organizational requirements.

The Solution and Results

Our customized project not only eliminated the risk of time, manpower, and expenses lost by disorganization, but also directly contributed to the client’s lean manufacturing initiative: The customer now uses our custom-made ATA SpectraCases with trays organized into one week, one month, six month, and one year installments to organize and control the tools they need to service machines that produce microchips. They simply swap out the interchangeable trays quickly and efficiently prior to each service call, allowing for on-the-spot inventory and a proactive approach to the task at hand. All of the foam is anti-static and is cut with a water-jet to eliminate dust and particulate associated with saw cut and routed foam.
