Summary:

Cases By Source is a manufacturer and distributor of carrying and shipping cases with custom foam inserts.  The Assembler will work with our manufacturing team to assemble cases using standard methods and following standard procedures. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 General Responsibilities

• Perform light assembly of cases including handling foam, hot gluing foam and foam to cases, and applying pressure sensitive and spray adhesives when required
• Follow daily schedule independently and focus on timely completion of work assignments
• Communicate work status, and identify and communicate concerns about machines, supplies, or work product
• Other duties, as assigned
  
  

Working Relationships

• Manufacturing – Complete work assigned in a timely manner and meeting Company quality requirements.  Identify machine issues, concerns with machines, supplies or work product.  Report status of work assigned routinely. 
• Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Control – Communicate status of work completed to ensure smooth transition to packaging/shipping.   Request inventory and assist with staging for assembly jobs.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

• Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack
• Ability to climb ladders and move boxes and pallets in a warehouse safely
• Light phone use, verbal communication skills mandatory
• Light computer use, typing/reading contents on screen
• Ambulatory/mobile within manufacturing and office environments
• Lifting and carrying 50 lbs. Ability to handle and maneuver bulky cases and 4’x 8’ sheets of foam and plastics.
  
  

Required Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years in a manufacturing environment performing light assembly, cleaning or inspection duties, or equivalent.
