Sales Demo Case for Paving Stones

The Challenge

With their unique shapes, colors and textures, paving stones naturally attract the eye — and the demo case they are presented in should have the same effect. So when a premier manufacturer needed 1,000 demo cases to house samples of their paving stones, they wanted the solution to be visually appealing and also rugged enough to support their weight of the stones. Cases By Source stepped in to help the business achieve this balance.

The Response

Inside a single demo case, the manufacturer needed to display 40 pieces of 4”x4”x.65” cut stone — an equivalent of 50 pounds. When the original concept of an injected molded case with a die-cut foam interior was deemed too fragile, and the foam too unattractive, we shifted gears.

With the vision for a more substantial, rugged case, our team customized a stock blow-molded case with a custom-molded interior contoured to fit each paver stone and an integrated handle to enable easy transport. The case was formed in one piece, which in turn helped to deliver exceptional strength and a structurally sound interior.

In the lid of the case, we inserted a flocked foam pad that included a silkscreen logo. The use of the manufacturer’s signature green color also served as a unique brand identifier.

The Solution

Every manufacturer wants their product represented in the best light, whether in-store or on the move. Through the use of blow molding — a manufacturing technique that provides durable and uniform results with a multitude of customization options — our team developed a custom case solution that set the paving stone manufacturer’s sales team up for success.

Fragile products were kept in their proper place, with the ability to easily lift the case and wipe it down between visits to maintain a professional appearance at all times. In conjunction with the brand identifiers, the sales team was equipped with the tools to make a positive (and lasting) first impression on potential customers.
